Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Child, Newborn

Adolescent, and Eye Health (SRMNCAEH) Program

Nurturing Health Across Generations

SCHF is committed to improving the health and well-being of women, children, and adolescents across Nigeria.

Key Activities:

Maternal and Newborn Health:
We promote antenatal care (ANC) attendance, skilled birth attendance (SBA), and postnatal care (PNC) services.
Our initiatives include educating expectant mothers on nutrition, birth preparedness, and newborn care, as well as advocating for improved infrastructure in maternity facilities.

Child Health and Nutrition:
We support routine childhood immunizations, promote exclusive breastfeeding, and educate caregivers on child nutrition and common childhood illnesses.
Our programs include community-based management of childhood diseases and growth monitoring.

Adolescent Health and Development:
We provide age-appropriate information and services on sexual and reproductive health, mental health, and substance abuse prevention for adolescents.
Our programs aim to empower young people to make healthy choices and transition successfully into adulthood.

Family Planning and Reproductive Health:
SCHF advocates for and facilitates access to a wide range of family planning methods, counseling, and reproductive health services, empowering individuals and couples to make informed decisions about their family size and spacing.

Eye Health Services:
Recognizing the prevalence of preventable blindness, we organize eye screening camps, provide referrals for corrective surgeries (e.g., cataracts), and distribute eyeglasses.
We also educate communities on eye care practices and the importance of early intervention for eye conditions.
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response: We integrate GBV awareness and response mechanisms into our SRMNCAEH programs, providing support for survivors and advocating for policies that protect women and girls.
